By accessing or using www.thespe.org (the “Site”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, donors, and anyone who interacts with SPE’s online platforms, programs, or services.

The School of Parent Education provides information, resources, program registration, educational content, event details, and donation options for families, caregivers, and community partners.
The content on this Site is for informational and educational purposes only and should not be considered legal, medical, or professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Site.
Parents and guardians may use the Site on behalf of minors when registering for programs or events.

When you register for SPE programs (such as Father’s Club™, Parent Academy, or events like Dads at Play), you agree to:

  • Supervise children during all in-person events

  • Accept that events may be photographed or recorded (see Section 7)

SPE may cancel or reschedule programs as needed due to weather, safety, or organizational needs.

5. Donations and Payments

All monetary donations made through our Site or third-party platforms (PayPal, Stripe, Givebutter, Eventbrite) are voluntary and generally non-refundable unless otherwise stated.

SPE does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site—including text, logos, graphics, photos, videos, program names, and materials—is the property of The School of Parent Education or its partners and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
 

You may not:

  • Reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes

  • Use SPE’s trademarks or logo without written permission

Limited sharing of publicly posted content (e.g., flyers, event updates, blog posts) is allowed with proper credit.

7. Photo, Video, and Media Release

By attending an SPE event or program, you acknowledge that photos or videos may be taken for:

  • Event promotion

  • Social media

  • Reports and grants

  • Public awareness and nonprofit documentation

If you prefer not to be photographed, please notify staff during check-in and we will do our best to honor your request.
 

Children will never be identified by full name without explicit parental consent.

Our Site may include links to external websites (community partners, resources, ticket platforms).
SPE is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of third-party sites.

We encourage users to review their terms and privacy policies before interacting with external platforms.
